Privacy policy

The short version

  • Your records stay on your iPhone and in your own device backups.
  • FreshSpot has no account and no analytics.
  • FreshSpot does not send your records to us or to anyone else.

This policy explains what the FreshSpot app stores, where it stores it, and what leaves your iPhone. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the maker of FreshSpot.

Your records

Your records are the medications, doses, sites, times and notes you enter. They stay in on-device storage on your iPhone and in your own device backups. FreshSpot does not send them to us or to anyone else.

No account and no analytics

FreshSpot has no account and no sign-in. The app contains no analytics.

Payments

Apple processes all payments for the subscription. We do not receive your card or payment details.

To check whether you have a subscription, FreshSpot uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives purchase and app identifiers so it can validate the subscription. It receives nothing about your medications, sites, doses or notes.

iCloud key-value storage

FreshSpot keeps two values in your iCloud key-value storage, so that reinstalling the app does not restart the trial:

  • the time your first log was saved
  • a random identifier for the medication you keep free after the trial

Nothing else is stored there. These values sync through your Apple Account.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. They are private by default: your lock screen shows a reminder, never a medication name. You can change this in the app's Settings, under Privacy.

Face ID

App lock is optional. When it is on, Face ID runs on your iPhone. FreshSpot never sees your biometric data.

CSV export

A CSV file is created only when you ask for one, and it goes only where you send it.

Deleting your records

Delete everything, in the app's Settings, erases the records on your iPhone. Deleting the app also removes them. A device backup made before then keeps what it contained until you delete or replace that backup.

Children

FreshSpot is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
